About: The State of Non-duality
Investigating harm, adverse effects, and the commodification of non-dual teaching and practice.
This project examines the contemporary non-dual landscape, in particular investigating the pedagogical, economic, and performative structural patterns through which non-duality is taught, marketed, and reproduced.
It documents the experiences of practitioners who have encountered harm, not limited to psychological distress, relational damage, financial exploitation, misplaced authority, and unaccountable teaching.
Drawing on critical theory and the sociology of spiritual movements, this work is informed by decades of practice and study within the traditions it examines.
There are currently several research projects underway. If you have experiences you believe warrant examination, whether as a practitioner, former student, or teacher, this project welcomes your participation.
